Awami League released 2021 financial report; earned Tk21cr

Awami League has submitted the audited account report of 2021 calendar year to the election commission office.

A delegation led by Awami League treasurer AHN Ashiqur Rahman submitted the report to the Election Commission Secretary on Sunday (July 31) morning.

Publicity and Publication Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Burua, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan, Finance and Planning Sub-Committee Member Zafrul Shahriar Jewel were in the delegation.

Later, the summary of income and expenditure of Bangladesh Awami League was presented to the journalists.

In the calendar year 2021, the total income of Bangladesh Awami League was Tk 21 crore 23 lakh 46 thousand 106. The total income in the calendar year 2020 was Tk 10 crore 33 lakh 43 thousand 533. 10 crores 90 lakhs 2 thousand 573 rupees more than the calendar year 2020.

Reasons for increase in income: Sale of nomination form and sale of initial membership collection form.

Main areas of income: sale of nomination forms, sale of primary membership collection forms and income from property.

The total expenditure in the calendar year 2020 was Tk 9 crore 94 lakh 49 thousand 931. But in the calendar year 2021, the total expenditure of Bangladesh Awami League was 6 crore 30 lakh 19 thousand 852 taka. 3 crore 64 lakh 30 thousand 79 rupees less than 2020 calendar year.

Reason for Reduction in Expenditure: During the calendar year 2020, financial assistance was provided to party leaders during the Covid pandemic. But in 2021 calendar year the amount of cash disbursement was less.

Major Expenditure Areas: Salaries and allowances of officers and employees, organization management expenses, office rent, publicity and publication expenses.

In the calendar year 2021, the surplus of Bangladesh Awami League at the end of the year was 14 crore 93 lakh 26 thousand 254 taka. 14 crore 54 lakh 32 thousand 653 rupees more than 2020 calendar year.

At the end of the 2020 calendar year, the balance was Tk 50 crore 76 lakh 37 thousand 194. In the calendar year 2021, the balance of Bangladesh Awami League at the end of the year was 70 crore 43 lakh 70 thousand 166 taka.
