The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will
start selling essential items across the country Tuesday at a subsidised rate.

that TCB's sales activities for the month of August will start from Monday
(August 1) across the country, including Dhaka metropolis, with the aim of
delivering TCB products (oil, sugar, pulses and onions) to one crore
beneficiary families at subsidized prices. However, TCB said on Monday morning
that although the allocation has started, the products will be available at the
consumer level on Tuesday. And the minister will inaugurate this program.
This sales activity will be conducted from the dealer's
shop/designated permanent establishment with the overall cooperation of the
City Corporation, District and Upazila administrations and as per their
scheduled date and time plan.
During this period, the cardholder can buy a maximum of two
liters of soybean oil, two kg of lentils, one kg of sugar and two kg of onions.
Soybean oil will be sold at Tk 110 per liter, sugar at Tk 55
per kg, lentils at Tk 65 and onion at Tk 20 per kg. However, onions will be
