Bus kills traffic police at Mohakhali

An on duty traffic police died after being hit by a bus near Mohakhali in the capital. The deceased's name is Abdul Aziz Molla (47). He was Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Traffic Police and was working in Mohakhali Zone of Gulshan Traffic Division. In this incident, the police have arrested bus driver Sujan.

Ashfaq Ahmed, Assistant Police Commissioner of Mohakhali Traffic Zone of Traffic Gulshan Division, confirmed this information to the media on Wednesday (03 August) night.

He said that a passenger bus hit ASI Abdul Aziz who was on duty on the slope of Mohakhali flyover. He suffered severe injuries on the back of his head and legs.

He further said that on receiving the news, I myself and Sergeant Golam Rabbani immediately rescued the injured ASI Abdul Aziz Molla and took him to Universal Medical College near Mohakhali Railgate. There he was taken to the ICU. As the condition was critical, he was taken to ICU of Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital by ICU Ambulance after a while. There the on duty doctor declared him dead.
