Govt is torturing people: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that they will definitely win in the struggle that the people are fighting to bring back democracy in the country. The current government is running a steam roller of torture on the people; detaining the national leader illegally.

He said this to reporters after paying respects at the grave of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's younger son late Arafat Rahman Koko on the occasion of his 53rd birthday on Friday (August 12) morning at Banani in the capital.

BNP Secretary General said, Arafat Rahman Koko was a sportsman, sports organizer. He was not involved in politics. He laid the foundation for the development and progress of cricket in a very short period of time. Not only cricket, he tried for the development of all sports institutions. He loved sports.
