Rahima Begum handed over to PBI

Rahima Begum (55), who was recovered from Boalmari in Faridpur, has been handed over to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Rahima Begum was handed over to the investigating agency PBI on Sunday.

Earlier, Rahima Begum was rescued from Faridpur's Boalmari on Saturday night. Rahima Begum and two other people are being interrogated by the police in this incident.

It is known that Rahima Begum disappeared from the second floor of her house in Khulna Maheswarpasha at around 10 pm on August 27. Police and RAB arrested six people in this incident after a case was filed at Daulatpur police station. The case was later handed over to PBI from Daulatpur police station on September 17.

Meanwhile, the accused's family claimed that Rahima Begum's voluntary absconding was abduction. They demanded a fair investigation of the case filed against them alleging harassment.

Khulna Metropolitan Police DC (North) Molla Jahangir Hossain said that Rahima Begum was in Chittagong and Moksedpur of Gopalganj after she disappeared from her home on the night of August 27. On September 17, she went to Quddus's house in Syedpur, Faridpur. Quddus and another person have been taken into police custody for questioning from the house where Rahima Begum was staying. In the interrogation, the police confirmed that Rahima Begum was voluntarily hiding in that house.
