Natore's Naldanga UP chairman expelled from AL

Awami League has expelled Asaduzzaman Asad, chairman of Natore's Naldanga Upazila and executive member the party's upazila unit, from all posts for his alleged involvement in the murder of Bangladesh Chhatra League leader Jamiul Islam Jibon.

A letter signed by Naldanga Upazila Awami League President Abdus Shukur and General Secretary Mushfiqur Rahman Muku announced the decision on Saturday night (September 24, 2022).

Earlier, District Awami League general secretary Shariful Islam Ramzan, who attended Jibon's Janaza, asked to expel Asad from the party.

On September 19, Chhatra League leader Jibon and his father were beaten up by Asad on the basis of giving a status on Facebook. Jibon died of his injuries last Friday afternoon.

Naldanga Upazila Parishad Chairman Asaduzzaman Asad was called in this matter but he did not receive the call. It is known that he is on the run on fear of getting arrested.
